Renovated Fire Station Event Venue
Station No. 2 is a specialty venue in Wilmington that boasts both an indoor and outdoor event space. The historic fire station red doors are an integral part of Wilmington’s history and make a beautiful backdrop for any event. The interior has all original floors, exposed brick walls, and tin ceilings. To the left of the venue is a walled-in, private garden courtyard. Jasmine-covered original iron ladders, aged brick walls, and lovely landscaping surround the flagstone pavers making this intimate setting perfect for a small wedding ceremony or cocktail hour.
Upstairs is the gorgeous Firehouse Suite. It is beautifully decorated with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a large bathroom. The original shower tilework and fireman’s lockers have been fully restored to their functionality. Event venue rates include overnight stay(s) in the Firehouse Suite.

Station no.2 History
Built in April 1915 by local architect, James F. Gause, Engine Company 2 was home to six men, two horses, and a two-horse hose wagon. The Station used horse-drawn wagons until 1918 when the last fire horse was retired. Engine Company 2 was relocated in 1956. Over the years it has been both a residential and commercial space. In 2017, the building was upfitted as an event space and opened to the public.

Donna sold us on having our wedding here and was so incredibly helpful. They were welcoming to LGBTQ when other venues weren’t. The venue was clean, beautiful, and the owners popped in immediately if we had questions. They were the most affordable and the fully furnished upstairs made everything so much easier. Highly recommend!!
We hosted our son’s rehearsal dinner here, and the setting was outstanding! Donna helped me all along as I planned it; she was so easy and fun to work with. Drew was our bartender; he was terrific! Every guest loved the uniqueness of this place.
We were looking for a venue to host a rehearsal dinner for our son and his fiancé and stumbled across the Station. It’s character and history added to the charm of the building which made it the perfect choice for our event. The staff was wonderful to work with. They were very responsive to all of our questions and requests. The rehearsal dinner turned out exactly as we had envisioned it. Station #2 is a gem of a venue in downtown Wilmington. It was absolutely perfect for us with the interior space and courtyard. We highly recommend.
We just had our wedding here this weekend and rented the entire place for the whole weekend (Friday-Monday)! We loved everything about this place! It is a family owned business and they were extremely helpful and accommodating! Any questions or concerns and even a late night call were all answered and the owner allows you to decorate exactly how you want for your special day. If you’re wanting a small historic and intimate venue for any kind of event, I would highly recommend Station No. 2!
Station No. 2 was the perfect location for our intimate wedding on October 10, 2020. Donna, Drew and Terry were amazing to work with. This historic venue has had several upgrades and provides a beautiful venue that is conveniently located to downtown Wilmington. The upstairs Firehouse Suite provided a large space for us to host our rehearsal dinner and served as my bridal suite. The large red doors and exposed brick were gorgeous backdrops for our photos. I highly recommend Station No. 2 for your event!
